Paraffin Wax Therapy

Paraffin wax therapy is not just an wonderfully soothing & indulgent spa treatment. but a thermotherapy treatment that has both cosmetic and therapeutic benefits and can assist in treating a variety of chronic inflammatory conditions; including arthritis, fibromyalgia, eczema, psoriasis amongst others. Regular treatments can be particularly effective for those suffering from osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. As essentially its a heat treatment that increases the blood flow circulation, relaxes muscles and reduces stiffness in joints. It aids in minimizing muscle spasms and inflammation by reducing fluid retention and swelling as well as flushing out toxins. Which is also ideal for treating sprains and pulled muscles.

Cosmetically, paraffin wax is deeply hydrating and conditioning as its a natural emollient that continues to create moisture in the skin long after the treatment is complete. By opening the pores & removal of dead skin cells; the wax helps to rejuvenate the appearance of the skin by creating a barrier that helps to retain the oils that your body naturally produces. A wax bath will soften calluses on hands and dry, cracked skin, especially on heels. Leaving the skin feeling silky soft and smooth!

Treatment application involves applying several layers of wax that is then covered with a specialised plastic bag and placed in a spa thermo treatment mitt.
